Check out the photo link at the top of the page for pictures of our trip in June. So I’m a little late. What’re you going to do about it?? We had a great time in the Outer Banks this year, and the house we stayed in was perfect. The kids had a blast at the beach, and in the ocean. Taylor and Jack got pretty good at boogie boarding, and, as you can see, Luke and Hogan had great time with the shovels. We were 1/2 block off the beach, which was perfect, and had our own private pool at the house. Kitty Hawk and Nags Head are great little beach communities and I think we’ll head down there again soon.

Luke loves soccer

Due to work being a little crazy lately it has taken me a while to get the boys video footage from soccer cleaned up. Here’s a little clip of Luke scoring a goal. He is number 16 in the video (it’s pretty crappy video). Notice his nice throw in to himself. He’s got it figured out !!

Hogan, Jack, and Taylor all had great seasons as well. Jack and Tay’s teams both made it to the league championship games in their age group. Jack’s team won in a shootout (Jack scored in his one chance in the shootout) and Taylor’s team lost 2-0 in their game. Taylor played a great game as well but just played a better team.

We finally have a break before the next sport begins. Having 4 kids to keep track of on 4 different teams is going to be a lot of fun.

Taylor’s last baseball game was today. We beat the 2nd place team in the league. It was a fun game. Taylor played great. Before the game I told Taylor to have the best game of the season (the coach of the Pirates is also the coach of the travel team which Taylor tried out for, but didn’t make). I told him to make Bob sorry he didn’t pick him. We were visitor, and up first. Taylor batted 2nd and hit a line drive up the middle. He moved the 1st batter over to 3rd, and advanced to second himself. We scored 3 runs the first inning. Taylor started at pitcher and pitched great. He allowed 2 hits, had 3 strike outs, and walked 1 in two innings pitched. They scored one off him on two errors. He was very excited about how he pitched. In the 3rd inning he got his second hit and scored again. In the 4th inning he got up for the final time and hit a great line drive past the 3rd baseman and got two RBI’s. He played catcher the rest of the game and played great back there. Our kids were extremely excited about beating the Pirates and all had a great game. Jack has 2 more games and Hogan has 1 more next week, then we are done for another year. (Until soccer starts!!)

Some Great Hits

Hogan had another Tball game tonight. He played awesome !! He’s been working on his hitting in the yard lately, and it really showed tonight. He hit three out of the infield in the air, and each at bat picked a new place to aim when hitting the ball. He also made some great plays in the field. Hogan loves baseball and is very good at it. I’ve tried to include a video of one of his hits. Hope you can all see it.

Taylor’s Team Finally Wins!!!

The minor league Dodgers finally get their first win !!! After going 0-4-1 we finally got a W to replace the 0. Taylor pulled through in his inning of pitching by going 1-2-3, with two strike outs to set up our closer. It was an exciting game, with the final score being 8-6. Hopefully there is more where that came from.

Becky has been gone since last Wednesday so the boys and I have been living it up at the bachelor pad !! Pizza, cereal, couple times fast food. A sick kid, twice we’ve had 2 baseball games at the same time, 2 birthday parties, the house is clean, 4 loads of laundry, 2 loads of dishes, watched the lawn get mowed, fertalized the front yard, church tomorrow.......hopefully Becky had a good time, but we’re ready for you to come home.
